¿Qué pasó en el Diy Show? - What happened at the DIY Show?

Hoy os vengo a contar como ha sido mi experiencia en el DIY show. Como os conté en este otro post, fui seleccionada por la Red Facilísimo para participar en su stand en la feria que está marcando tendencia en el mundo del "Do It Yourself". Y es que el hecho de que la crisis se haya instalado en España (y parece que se va a quedar aquí un tiempecillo más) ha hecho que volvamos a retomar las labores propias de nuestras abuelas y bisabuelas.

El mundo de las manualidades está revolucionando las redes. Cada día somos más los que nos hemos apuntado a la moda del "hazlo tú mismo". Y es por eso por lo que el DIY Show tuvo este fin de semana en Madrid un éxito rotundo.

Yo tuve la suerte de estar allí el viernes, echando una mano a montar el stand, y el domingo exponiendo. Menos mal que el viernes me dio por darme una vuelta antes de irme a casa... Pues el domingo era tal la afluencia que no pude moverme de stand!!

Para los que no pudieseis ir, os comento que la feria fue una pasada. Muchísimos stands con miles de materiales preciosos, talleres muy divertidos e inspiradores, y artículos de artesanía únicos. Había de todo: punto, trapillo, crochet, scrapbooking, abalorios, costura, artículos de cocina, de decoración... ¡Tanto que aprender!

En el stand de facilísimo paticipamos tres blogueras diferentes cada día. El viernes tuvimos a Verónica de Bulalaica. a Chus de Manualizando. y a Lucía de Momentos Vintage. El sábado estuvieron Blanca de Blandie Cuky Style,  Mara de Mil Nubes de Colores y a Rosa de Tela, Patrón, Tijeras.

Y el domingo, yo compartí stand con otras dos compañeras: Cristina de Mi Armario Coqueto, y Blanca de Ideando a Mano. Cristina nos trajo unas láminas muy inspiradoras, para decorar cualquier rinconcito de la casa, y Blanca nos estuvo enseñando cómo hacer flores de alambre con pintauñas, super sencillo y con un resultado precioso. 

Por mi lado, estuve dando talleres a niños sobre como hacer pulseras de macramé. El tutorial lo tenéis AQUÍ. Es una manualidad estupenda que podéis hacer con los más peques y que también es apta para adultos.

Y como resumen de la feria, deciros que lo pasamos genial. Fue una oportunidad única para conocer a las responsables del equipo de Red Facilísimo que tanto nos ayuda, y a compañeras blogueras. Además estuve disfrutando como una enana impartiendo los talleres. Y todas los artículos que llevé hechos a mano encantaron, así que en resumen fue una experiencia inmejorable.

Os dejo con algunas fotos más que me hizo mi amiga Gloria, que tiene una mano con la cámara que ya quisiera yo! Y también estuvo con ella Raquel, la diseñadora del nuevo logo de Sew Creativa que espero que pronto podáis ver en el blog!

Today I'm going to tell you about my experience at the DIY Show.
As I already told you in this other post, I was selected by Red Facilisimo to participate with them in the fair. This fair is one of the most famous in Madrid in relation to the "Do It Yourself" trend. Due to the economic situation here in Spain, lots of young people are starting to do what our grannies used to do such as sewing, knitting, crochetting...

It's very noticeable how the interest in arts and crafts is rising on social networks. Lots of people have recently taken up new hobbies related to crafts which is why the DIY Show was so successful last weekend.

I was very lucky as I was there on Friday, helping to prepare the stand, and on Sunday as well, this time showing people what I make. Just as well that I had a quick look on Friday before going home... because on Sunday it was so crowded that I wasn't able to leave the stand at all!

For those of you who couldn't come, I have to tell you that the fair was really really good. Lots of stands with thousands of materials, fun and interesting workshops, and lots of beautiful handmade stuff.  You could find anything there: wool, zpaguetti, crochet, scrapbooking, beads, sewing, cooking, decoration... So many things to learn about!

In the Facilisimo stand there were three different bloggers every day. On Friday we had Veronica from Bulalaica, Chus from Manualizando, and Lucía from Momentos Vintage. On Saturday the three bloggers were Blanca from Blandie Cuky Style, Mara from Mil Nubes de Colores, and Rosa from Tela, Patrón, Tijeras.

And on Sunday I shared the stand with two fellow bloggers: Cristina from Mi Armario Coqueto and Blanca from Ideando a Mano. Cristina had some posters with inspiring sentences that could be used to decorate any little space at home, and Blanca showed us how to make flowers out of wire and nail varnish, which is very easy and the result is very nice.

And me, I did a workshop for kids about how to create macrame bracalets. You can find the tutorial here. It's a easy craft that you can make with little ones but which is also valid for adults.

And to sum up, I just have to say that we had a great time. It was such a good opportunity to meet the poeple from Red Facilísimo, and also to meet the bloggers that I told you about before. And I really loved giving the workshop that I had prepared. I also took lots of the things that I make, and everyone loved them!

You can see above some of the pictures that my friend Gloria took, she's very good at it! And also my friend Raquel was there, who's the designer of our new logo, which I hope to have on the blog soon so that you all can see it!

DIY SHOW

Hola!! Traigo noticias frescas! (Scroll down for English version)

Para los que no hayáis estado muy atentos y no os hayáis enterado aún... Este finde en Madrid se celebra el DIY SHOW, una feria de artesanía y craft, en la que podéis encontrar millones de materiales y artículos handmade preciosísimos!

¿Y quién va a estar por allí el domingo? SIIII, YOOOOO!!! No puedo estar más contenta.

Manualidades facilísimo me dijo que sería una de las afortunadas de participar en su stand el domingo, así que estaré allí, enseñándoos todo lo que hago y también haciendo una demo-taller para que aprendáis a hacer pulseras de macramé tan molonas como estas!

Además compartiré stand con dos compis que hacen un trabajo estupendo. Os recomiendo que os paséis por su blog. Son Mi armario coqueto e Ideando a mano.

Hi!!!! I have good news!!

For those of you who haven't yet realised... This weekend the DIY SHOW takes places in Madrid. It's a crafts fair, where you can find loads of materials and handmade staff!

And guess who'll be there on Sunday?? YEEEES, it's MEEEE!! I couldn't be happier!

Manualidades facilísimo told me that I was one of the lucky ones who would be participating at their stand on Sunday, so there I'll be, showing you all what I make for the blog and also giving a workshop to teach you how to make a macrame bracalet as nice as this one! (Picture above)

I'll be sharing the stand with two fellow bloggers. I recommend that you visit their blogs which are Mi armario coqueto and Ideando a mano.

Nuevas Sewñoritas! - New Sewñoritas!

Hola a todos!!

Ya casi estamos a mitad de semana. ¿Que tal estáis? ¿Pasando calor? Yo esta tarde me voy a la piscina, porque en Madrid es insoportable el calor!

Hoy os traigo dos modelos nuevos de Sewñoritas! Para las que no os acordéis o si os perdisteis el modelo anterior de estas preciosas muñecas de alambre, haced click AQUÏ. 

En cuanto les mandé una foto a mis amigas con el primer modelo de Sewñorita que diseñé me dijeron que querían una, y fue dicho y hecho! Como ya os conté se pueden hacer broche o broche-collar.

Aquí os presento a Sewñorita Natalia, personalizada como no podía ser menos, y con todo tipo de complementos: bolsito, collar, y cinturón con una flor!

Y aquí tenéis a Sewñorita Carol, con su flequillo, su lazo de tul y hasta un tocado!

Y hablando de tocados... varias personas me han animado a diseñar algún tocado.. y me lo estoy pensando. ¿Qué os parece la idea? ¿Os gustaría que os enseñase algún tocado? Espero respuestas!!

Hi everybody!!

Almost mid-week already... How are you all? It's absolutely boiling in Madrid... so today I'm going to the swimming pool!!

In today's post I'm going to show you two new Sewñoritas. For those who don't remember or missed the previous post where I showed you my first wire doll, you can have a look at it by clicking HERE.

So, it turns out that as soon as I sent my friends a photo of the first Sewñorita that I designed, they asked me to make one for them. And so I did! As I told you these Sewñoritas can be used as brooches or necklaces.

This is Sewñorita Natalia, entirely personalised of course. She's wearing all kind of accesories: a handbag, a necklace, and a belt with a flower on it!

And here is Sewñorita Carol! With her fringe, her tulle bow, and even a headdress!

And talking about headdresses... some people have encouraged me to design one...  and I've been thinking about it.. but I would like to ask you first, what do you reckon? Would you like me to show you some headdresses? Get back to me please!!
