Carnaval, carnaval....

Hola a todos!! (scroll down for English version)

Hi everyone!!

How was the weekend?  Did you celebrate Carnival?

For me it's a must do every year. I'm lucky I was born in a town where Carnival is a very special date. Although I have to say that every year the party itself is less impressive. With the economic crisis, the town council puts aside less money for this event unfortunetely... Well, you probably all know about all these things, there's nothing else to say. But the Carnival spirit is out there, that can't be taken away by the crisis! So this year, as always, there were beautiful and original costumes, that show all the work behind it. And the Carnival was as fun as always!

Anyway, I don't want to go on and on, you can see the pictures of my costume above (well, mine and Roddy's) that I prepared with some imagination and my sewing machine! Let's see what you think of them...

Of course, there had to be a spinach can to make Popeye's muscles grow so that he could rescue his beloved Olivia... How did I make it? Just with an empty can and some felt.
I also made the t-shirt onraments out of felt, such as Popeye's collar, buttons and anchor and also Olivia's collar. I bought some fabric for the skirt and sewed it as well, copying one of my skirts and then I also sewed ethe yelllow felt strip.

And also you have above the picture of all my friends' costumes! Which one do you like the most?

And you? Did you were a costume?

Have a lovely week!! Xx
