DIY vela de Navidad - Christmas candle DIY

A petición vuestra, seguimos con los DIY decorativos para esta Navidad.

Esta vez he preparado un tutorial exprés expresísimo. Y es que yo soy de las que me gusta tener la casa llena de detalles en Navidad, pero nada recargados. Si habéis visto mis dos DIY navideños anteriores sabréis a lo que me refiero (AQUÍ y AQUÍ).

Para hoy he preparado una vela decorativa, muy fácil de hacer.

MATERIALES

- Vela.

- Cinta de yute.

- Un retal de tela navideña.

- Pegamento.

PASO A PASO

Cortamos un trozo grande de la cinta de yute, y hacemos un lazo con ella (sin nudo). Creo que si os fijáis en la imagen veréis mejor cómo se tiene que hacer la forma de lazo.

Después ponemos una tira del retal que teníamos alrededor, haciendo el centro del lazo. Y lo pegamos por detrás.

Por último pegamos el lazo a la vela. ¡Y listo!

Además yo he puesto un poco de rafia y trocitos de la misma cinta de yute roja que he usado para el lazo debajo de la vela.

¿Qué os parece? ¿Fácil, verdad?

Upon request, here's another Christmas decoration DIY.

For today I've prepared an express tutorial. At Christmas time I love having every little corner decorated, but not too over the top. If you've read my last two posts, you know what I mean (click HERE and HERE).

For today I've prepared a decorative candle, very easy to make.

MATERIALS

- A candle.

- Jute ribbon.

- A bit of fabric.

- Glue.

STEP BY STEP

We take a bit of a jute ribbon and we make a bow with it but without knotting it. If you look at the picture above you will see how to make it better.

Then we have to put the fabric around the centre of the bow. And we put a bit of glue to stick it.

And lastly we stick the bow to the candle. Ready!

I also put some bits of straw and of jute ribbon under the candle.

What do you reckon? Easy, right?

Tiradores de trapillo - Zpagetti decoration

¿Qué tal estáis? Yo, a partir de ahora tendré más tiempo libre, así que espero poder publicar más a menudo. Además estoy empezando a coserme mi propia ropa y estoy muy ilusionada, ¡deseando enseñaros los resultados!

Bueno, de momento os traigo algo más de trapillo. También me estoy poniendo las pilas en este ámbito que tanto me relaja y la verdad que están quedando cosas muy chulas. También vendrán pronto los resultados, acompañados de tutoriales claro!

Pues vamos con el DIY de hoy.

¿Recordáis que hace tiempo puse el tutorial de un llavero en forma de flor de trapillo? Pues una amiga me dio la idea de usarlo como colgadores para los pomos de las puertas de los armarios... ¡y me puse a ello!

Y es que usar nuestras manualidades para decorar nuestras casas es un gran idea, ¿no os parece?

En este caso hice 4 colgadores, dos en forma de flor, y dos en forma de corazón. Los cuatro de diferentes colores. El tutorial del que tiene forma de flor lo tenéis AQUÍ. Y ahora, vamos con el DIY del tirador en forma de corazón.

Materiales:

- Trapillo.

- Tijeras.

- Un ganchillo del número 10 o 12, dependiendo del grosor del trapillo.

Paso a paso:

• Primero realizaremos un anillo mágico de 13 puntos.
• Una vez hecho esto, vamos a hacer 2 puntos altos en el primer punto del anillo mágico.
• Después hacemos 1 punto alto en el siguiente punto del anillo mágico.
• Y a continuación 3 puntos bajos, uno en cada uno de los puntos siguientes.
• Ahora hacemos un punto alto en el siguiente punto del anillo.
• Y repetimos todo lo que hemos hecho hasta ahora, pero al revés, es decir: 3 puntos bajos (uno en cada uno de los puntos siguientes), 1 punto alto en el siguiente punto, y 2 puntos altos en el último punto del anillo mágico.

¡Y ya está! ¿Fácil, verdad? Recordad, que si tenéis dudas con los puntos, podéis pinchar AQUÍ para volver a la entrada en la que puse un enlace con vídeos a todos los puntos.

Hi again!

How are you? I'm not bad, from now on I'll have more free time, so I hope to be able to post more often. And also, I'm starting to start to sew my own clothes. I'm very excited about it! Hope to show you the results soon  :)

Well, today I have a new zpagetti DIY. I'm cracking on with zpagetti, I find it very relaxing and I'm learning a lot and making cute things. Of course, you'll see the results soon, that will come with more tutorials!

So let's start with today's DIY. Do you remember that some time ago I made a zpagetti flower-shaped keyring? It turns out that a friend suggested using them as door-handle decorations. So I did it! Using the crafts that we make for our home decoration is a great idea, don't you think?

I made 4 of them, 2 flower-shaped ones and 2 heart-shaped ones. And all of them are made in different colours. You can find the tutorial of the flower-shaped one by clicking HERE. And now, let's start with the heart-shaped door-handle decoration tutorial.

Materials:

• Zpagetti.
• Scissors.
• Crochet hook number 10 or 12, depending on the width of the zpagetti yarn.

DIY

• First we have to make a magic ring of 13 stitches.
• Once we've done that, we make 2 double stitches on the first stitch of the magic ring.
• Then we make 1 double stitch on the following stitch of the magic ring.
• And next we have to make 3 single stitches, one on each of the following stitches of the magic ring.
• And now, we have to repeat everything, but the other way round. So it will be: 3 single stitches (one on each of the next stitches of the magic ring), then 1 double stitch on the next stitch, and 2 double stitches on the last stitch of the magic ring.

Creaciones con Styl Patch- Styl Patch's creations

¿Qué tal estáis?

Yo... de miércoles! Que no está mal... Ya queda menos para el fin de semana, mañana entro a trabajar una hora y media más tarde (yujuuuuu) y esta noche voy a ver a mi querido Atleti!

¿Y qué os voy a contar hoy? Pues, como ya sabéis si habéis leído mis entradas anteriores, el fin de semana pasado fui al DIY Show y compré un montón de cositas... Entre ellas, un producto llamado "Styl Patch". Es un producto francés, que no se comercializa en España, únicamente en ferias de manualidades. Es una especie de aguacola sobre la que pones papel y se queda endurecido y con brillo. Se puede usar sobre cualquier tipo de material y con cualquier tipo de papel. Parece que ha sido pintado, pero simplemente hemos usado pegamento y papel, ¡Y da resultados tan buenos como estos!

¿Y como funciona? Bueno, pues para este vasito decorativo he usado los siguientes materiales:

• Un vasito de cristal (de yogurt).
• Papel estampado (Compré varios en el mismo stand donde comrpé el Styl Patch).
• Styl Patch y un pincel.
• Rafia e hilo de aluminio para decorar (opcional).

¡Empezamos con el tutorial!

El proceso es muy sencillo. Simplemente hay que dar una capa de Styl Patch al objeto que queramos decorar (que puede ser desde este vasito de cristal hasta una caja de cartón, un marco de fotos, una botella...). Y después pegamos el papel, puede ser uno o varios trozos de papel con diferentes estampados, como más nos guste. Después le damos otra capa de Styl Patch, y esperamos a que se seque. Yo lo he adornado con un poco de rafia y alumino dordado. El resultado es un bonito vaso decorativo al que, como podéis ver en estas fotos, le podemos dar multitud de usos.

Ya os enseñaré más cosas que vaya haciendo con este producto. De momento, he de decir que no me ha decepcionado la compra. ¡Espero que os haya gustado el tutorial!

How are you?

Me... the same as every Wednesday! Which means... not too bad as the weekend will arrive soon, tomorrow I start working an hour and a half later (woohoo), and tonight I will go to see my beloved Atletico de Madrid!

What have I prepared for today's post? Well, as you know (if you read my previous posts), last weekend I went to the DIY Show in Madrid, and bought lots of things... Among them, I got a product called "Styl Patch". It's a French product, and they don't sell it in Spain except in some craft fairs. It's a kind of fish glue that you put over any material that you want and then you put some paper on top of it so that it gets stuck to it and shines beautifully. It looks as if it's been painted, but it's only glue and paper! This picture (click here) shows you what I made with it!

And how does it work? Well, for this decorative glass that I made I used these materials (picture above):

A yoghurt jar.

Patterned paper (I bought some at the same stand where I bought the Styl Patch).

Styl Patch and a brush.

Raffia fibre and wire.

Let's start with the tutorial!

The way of making it is very simple. We only have to put some Styl Patch on the object that we want to decorate (it could be a yoghurt glass or a cardboard box, a photo frame or a bottle...). And then we have to put the paper over it, it could be one or more pieces with different patterns. Then we put some more Styl Patch and we wait unitl it dries. And then I put some raffia fibre and some wire to make it look nicer. The result is a very beautiful jar that we can use for many different things (pictures above).

I will show you more things that I will make using this technique. So far, I have to say that it didn't dissapoint me. Hope you liked the tutorial!
